Grasp Lighting Group Progresses with the Additional installation of PAR30s in Houston, Texas Restaur

Grasp Lighting Group President, Peter V. Baker assisted in the installation of the next to last Par30 LED installation last week in Houston. Photometric data was gathered in the kitchen area that was retrofitted with Advanced Opto Electronic 2x2 LED lay-ins last year. Old fluorescents fixtures at 180W were removed and replaced with 40W AO units. Foot candles increased by 10FC.

The new PAR30s that were installed, when dimmed use less than 2W compared to the previous 25W dimmed halogen 50W spot and floods. Installation continues this weed as the final shipment has arrived and is being installed.Peter says the client was amazed that the dimmed down to 2W LEDs could produce the required 40FC tight spot required. A future announcement is being prepared relative to the LED manufacturer and this installation. Savings were verified to be in the excess of 85% alone in energy plus the elimination of maintenance issues and heat loan on the AC systems.
